Our Values

We believe that strong, informed citizens can make a difference through engagement and volunteerism. We believe we can change the future by recruiting and electing representatives who will effectively represent us all; representatives who believe in civil discourse and are open to moderate ideas.

We are determined to battle for:

  • Social justice
  • A productive response to climate change
  • A strong economy where all can find employment that supports lives/families
  • Affordable housing
  • A supportive social system
  • The right to make one’s own medical decisions and not have medical decisions imposed by legislators
  • Women’s reproductive rights
  • The needs of the marginalized, oppressed, under-represented, disdained, and immigrant populations
  • The respect for the law and the Constitution
  • The education of all North Carolina residents including fair funding and preservation of the public school system
  • Prudent gun control
  • LGBTQ+ rights
  • An end to gerrymandering and suppression of the vote
